The Day That Sports Stopped
In a three-part series, initially created for a digital storytelling course during my final semester at the University of New Hampshire, "The That Sports Stopped," was inspired by the live effects of COVID-19. Abruptly, universities were shutting down, and sports had to end. For many seniors, this was the final time with their teammates and competition. Using a combination of zoom interviews, and found footage shared by other creators, I remotely compiled narratives to support these athletes' experiences.
The first episode of the series featuring gymnast Riley Freehling ('20), was awarded the first place Digital Storytelling award for excellence in narrative, by The New Hampshire Humanities Collaborative.
